State of Connecticut Receives EMAP Accreditation   4/28/2015

Joining 32 other states, the State of Connecticut received full accreditation from the Emergency Management Accreditation Program (EMAP) commission last week.  Throughout the course of 2014, ARMADA supported the State of Connecticut with multiple resources including full time planning and EMAP subject matter expertise.  The Emergency Management Standard by EMAP is the set of 64 standards by which programs that apply for EMAP accreditation are evaluated.  The Emergency Management Standard is designed as a tool for continuous improvement as part of the voluntary accreditation process for local and state emergency management programs.
